WELCOME

ASSURE has been sponsoring a Suicide Prevention and Awareness Community Walk in Mercer County since 2017. Thanks to all of you, we continue to support many people affected by suicide in our county and spread awareness. This year’s walk continues to be just as important as it was in 2017. We hope that you can support us again this year as we plan our 2026 Walk. With your help we can continue our dedication to suicide awareness, prevention, and assistance in our community.

Our walk donations have been used to promote suicide prevention and awareness in Mercer County and the surrounding area through funding motivational speakers and activities within our local schools and local universities, maintaining a scholarship for local youth and adults, and providing literature to our local social servants in the medical, mental health, first responding, and religious positions in Mercer and surrounding counties.

Brianna’s Hope

Youth to Youth

Dakota Hays, Celina High School Senior, (center) accepts a $500 donation from John Yoder and Margie Griesdorn of the Area Suicide Support Resources, (ASSURE). Youth to your is a community based drug prevention and youth leadership program focusing primarily on middle and high school students.

Abounding Grace Homeless Ministry

Pastor Rick Brosher (center) accepts a $500 donation from Margie Griesdorn, of ASSURE along with Jean Hyman, Buddy Hyman, also of ASSURE and also present and representing the Hand-up Village is Bruce Swonger. Abounding Grace Homeless Ministry and the Mercer County Homeless Coalition, provides short-term housing for homeless people in Mercer County.

House of Hope
